Guy Montag is a fireman. He does the opposite of what firefighters do in his world, where television has taken over and literature is on the verge of extinction. As a prohibited book destroyer, he destroys the houses where they are hidden, along with the printed books. Mildred Montag, who spends all day with her television family, never questions the destruction and ruin that Montag’s actions cause. Then he encounters Clarisse, an eccentric neighbor who introduces him to a past without fear, and a present based on ideas instead of mindless television chatter. A few days after Mildred attempted suicide and Clarisse suddenly disappeared, Montag began to question his existence and everything he knew. Fireman hides books in his house and runs for his life when the thieves discover his thefts.
